At Willow Brook Farm, we believe good food starts with good stewardship—of the land, of the animals, and of the local community.

In 2021, we (Bryan and Katie) made the leap and purchased a small piece of land that had served as a homestead for different families going back to 1890. The fields were overgrown, the soil tired, but the potential was there—and we were ready to bring it back to life.

Our journey into farming didn’t start with agriculture degrees or generations of farming behind us. It started with a shared passion for gardening, inspired by our grandparents’ backyard plots and homegrown meals. We’ve always wanted more space to grow our own food, and as our knowledge deepened, so did our desire to grow food for others, too.

Today, Willow Brook Farm is focused on raising pasture-raised chicken and a growing variety of chemical-free vegetables. We raise our birds outside using a rotational grazing method, giving them access to fresh grass, clover, seeds, and insects every day. This not only improves animal welfare—it produces chicken with exceptional flavor and higher nutritional value, including more omega-3s and vitamin E.

We don’t use chemical fertilizers or herbicides anywhere on the farm. Our chickens come from a Pennsylvania hatchery, are fed non-GMO feed sourced from a local feed distributor and grown just across the border in Maryland, and we proudly sell our products through local markets.

Our goal is simple: to produce clean, honest food that supports local food security, regenerative agriculture, and a healthier food system overall.

If you’d like to see how we raise your food, we welcome scheduled visits. We love connecting with folks who care about where their food comes from—because we believe that knowing your farmer is the first step toward a better plate.

Thanks for being part of the Willow Brook story.

It’s not ours, it’s just our turn.

We’re Bryan and Katie, the husband-and-wife team behind Willow Brook Farm. Neither of us grew up on a farm, but both of us were lucky to have grandparents who kept large gardens and passed down their love for growing good food. That early influence stuck with us—and eventually grew into a dream of building a life around producing food the right way.

In 2021, we took the leap and moved to the country to start Willow Brook Farm. Our days are now filled with caring for chickens, planting vegetables, building soil, and learning something new just about every day. We’re passionate about raising animals ethically, growing without chemicals, and offering our local community the kind of food we want to eat ourselves.

When we’re not farming, we’re probably tinkering with a new project around the homestead, walking the land with our dogs, or planning what to grow next season.

We’re proud to be small, local, and hands-on—because we believe food should be personal.
